Yin Yang Sky (1)

11/04/05

The concept of yin and yang (Chinese: 阴阳; pinyin: yínyáng) originates in ancient Chinese philosophy and metaphysics, which describes two primal opposing but complementary forces found in all things in the universe. Yin, the darker element, is passive, dark, feminine, downward-seeking, and corresponds to the night; yang, the brighter element, is active, light, masculine, upward-seeking and corresponds to the day. (Description taken from [**”Wikipedia”**](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yin_Yang "Yin Yang")) This shot was taken in the morning when I was going to work. The first terms appear in my mind when I see this photo was Yin Yang. As if I was standing right in the middle of Greenwich Meridian Line and I witnessed the time change from night to day. The blend between the black and white clouds forms the shape of the Yin Yang symbol. Of course the original picture was not as dramatic as this photo. It has been post processed in PS to achieve this result. If anyone interested to see the original photo, please leave a comment to me. I will try to find a way to post it somewhere else or I can also send to your email address.
